When using the free WP Ecommerce Shopping Cart Application with WordPress, there are a few tips and tricks to get you up and running quickly.  Make sure to the Getting Started w/ WP Ecommerce before you dive in here.

Adding Clear Images & Thumbnails to your Products

Your directions may vary slightly depending on the version of WP Ecommerce you are using.  This tutorial was made on WP Ecommerce version 3.6.12

  1. Goto Products -> Settings -> Appearance Tab
  2. Scroll down to the thumbnail settings section.
  3. Set your Default Product Thumbnail Size. This can be square or rectangle, we chose to use a rectangle for our book covers.   We used Height: 144px and width:96px.
  4. Upload Your Product Image & Thumbnail:
    1. Goto Products -> Manage Products
    2. Adding New Product Images:
    3. After you edit/add the product information, at the bottom of the page, in the Product Images section, Click the Add New Image button.
    4. Select your image.
    5. Click the ‘Edit Product’ button at the bottom of the page.
