There are many ways to do this, however this method works in just a few minutes (or under a minute if you’re experienced).

How to Resize an Image

  1. Visit http://www.shrinkpictures.com
  2. Scroll down to the Resize Images box
  3. #1 File: Click the Browse button and find your image.  Click “Ok” when you’ve found it.
  4. #2 Image Dimension (Width): The size will depend on your site.  Very often people want it larger than wordpress will scale.  In this case we’ll use “500px” (without the quotes).  I wouldn’t go larger than 500px.  Experiment to find the size you like.
  5. Click the Resize Button
  6. After the page loads – scroll down to view your new image.
  7. Right click on it and goto: Save Image As.
  8. Save the image to your computer, wherever you would like.
  9. Voila your done!
