Setting Up an Email Forwarder

These steps will show you how to automatically forward a copy of all messages sent to one address (john@doe.com) to a 2nd (johndoe@gmail.com).

  1. Login to your Plesk Server Account.
  2. Click on the “Home” link in the box at the top left.
  3. Scroll down until you see your domain name and click it.
  4. Click the “Mail” Icon (in the Services section)
  5. Click on the email address that you would like mail forwarded from (e.g. john@doe.com).
  6. Click the “Redirect” Icon.
  7. Enter the email address you would like to forward to (e.g. johndoe@gmail.com).
  8. Click Ok.
  9. If you want to keep a copy of all mail your forwarding (first) email address:
    1. Click on your email address (john@doe.com).
    2. Click on mailbox.
    3. Make sure the mailbox is active, and set with the default size for the domain.
  10. If you DON’T want to keep a copy of all mail in your forwarding email address:
    1. Click on your email address (john@doe.com).
    2. Click on mailbox.
    3. Make sure the mailbox is INACTIVE (or unchecked).

Voila, you’ve created your first email forwarder.  Reward yourself with a twix bar.
